International Holocaust Remembrance Day January 27

76 years ago today, the Soviet army liberated Auschwitz Concentration Camp, freeing the 7,000 prisoners left behind by the fleeing Nazis. Days before, around 60,000 prisoners and Jews were forced west in the Death Marches that killed thousands along the way.

Today we remember those who died in the Holocaust, who were hurt by the Nazi regime, who survived this horrible ordeal after loosing everything and everyone.

Let us Never Forget the tragedy of the Holocaust that took the lives of 11 million people, 6 million of them Jews, and the many more millions who were affected.
